ASSEMBLY OF PARENTS
of the high school gymnasium, T. RATE
OF 12/15/2008
On December 15, 2008, at 17.00, it was meeting at the Great Hall of the Gymnasium-Lyceum T. Rate of Rome, the Assembly of Parents of pupils to discuss the following items on the agenda:
- Election of the President of the Parents
- Discussion and proposals on development of the school year in progress
There are about 45 parents, nearly all class representatives. There are also Perna Walter and Donald Capone, two of the four newly elected representatives to represent the parents in the School Council. Perna says that in the first session were also assigned the following tasks: W. President Perna CDI, D. Capone and Vice President Corrado Cheat member of the Executive.
Before discussing the points on the agenda, the manager, M. Letizia Terrinoni, rose to greet those present. He met briefly with his parents, setting up a debate that touched on various topics of the improvements under way in the building, standing problem of interviews with teachers, especially in conjunction with the end of the quarter and the "school report" interim.
Then, after the manager left the meeting, you decide to reverse the order of the discussion points on the agenda, to give continuity the arguments already addressed in part by Prof. Terrinoni.
With regard to difficulties encountered in carrying out the interviews with teachers, are some proposals regarding the methodology, such as limited number of listings, reservations and weekly in particular periods. It also sought ways to increase the number of tea parties (provided twice a year and are particularly useful for parents who find it difficult to be absent from work in the morning, sometimes in vain for overcrowding of lists), or otherwise distribute them throughout the 'year, in order to contract in conjunction with the deadlines above.

Walter Perna riferisce che la settimana di chiusura fa parte del calendario scolastico deliberato dal CdI nella seduta del 1/7/08 e che, pertanto non può essere “compensato” con la sospensione delle lezioni per l’occupazione.
Lo stesso genitore che aveva avanzato la precedente richiesta, invita a valutare la soppressione, per i prossimi anni, della pausa di febbraio in sede di definizione del calendario scolastico; viene tuttavia rammentato che, oltre alla motivazione di “traslare” una settimana dal pentamestre al trimestre, al fine di concedere più tempo alla didattica nella prima parte dell’anno, c’è una volontà di dare un indirizzo alle famiglie del periodo in cui effettuare la settimana bianca, evitando assenze di piccoli gruppi di ragazzi in un periodo più esteso.

At this point we get to discuss the first item on the agenda - Election of the President of the Parents. Pier Francesco Belluzzi, the outgoing president, encourages parents to come forward with these applications, renewing his willingness to take that office. There being no further nominations, asked those present to ratify a show of hands Belluzzi's election as President of the Parents of the Rate: The Assembly unanimously approved.
At 19:00 the meeting was closed.
