Report of the School Council of 8 June 2009

We provide below a brief account of the meeting, which was held in the school premises.
The agenda included, in addition to reading and approval of the minutes of previous meeting, the discussion on the following topics:

• Policy assignments teachers to classes for the school year 2009/2010
• service agreement for photocopiers
• Change the school calendar
• Regulation Institute

After extensive discussion were approved the following criteria for the allocation of teachers to classes for the school year 2009/2010 :

I. Respect, to the extent possible, continuity teaching.
II. Professors holding the chair must be evenly distributed in all sections where possible.
III. Ensure, with the assignment of teachers to classes, a balance in all sections of middle school and high school students, both horizontally and vertically.
IV. Pay particular attention to sections where there are no teachers hold, because in service or assigned elsewhere.
V. Give priority to teachers in the internal passage of the chair - from the High School Gymnasium - With the caveat that length of service, that should also be respected and taken into account, should not be construed as absolute and overriding policy, including consideration of cultural qualifications.
VI. Implement a "gentle rotation" of teachers, even within the same class of competition in order to avoid extremism and the crystallization of the situations in the sections to stimulate continuous action in comparison.

The Council acted on the service agreement for the purchase of copiers and copier to replace a third of a rent, this being the most economically advantageous choice. After lengthy discussion

The Council voted to change the school calendar : the 2009/2010 school year will start with only one day in advance (September 14 ) than the official opening. This extra day will be recovered with the suspension of teaching activities for the day November 2.

For the Regulations governing the Institute, the Council decided to establish a Commission consisting of four directors, one for each dial in order to arrive at a definitive formulation.
