Il giorno 24 febbraio 2010, presso l’Aula Magna del Liceo Ginnasio “T. Tasso” di Roma, alle ore 15.30, si è turning the Assembly of the parents of pupils for the school year 2009/2010, with the following Agenda:

1. information on the Council of the Institute;

2. Information on the Parents' Committee;

3. reform high schools.

President Pierre Belluzzi, after thanked and greeted those present, introduced the reports referred to in paragraph 1. and invited Walter Perna - Chairman of the Institute - to report about it.

Step 1. on the agenda

Walter Perna summed up the work of the Council held on 11/02/2010.

In opening the session, was notified of the establishment of the "Committee of Parents of School-Gymnasium T. Rate "and submitted the relevant regulations. Below, is' approved 2010 Annual Programme Institute (Budget Estimate for the year) that, because of the ministerial regulations, with a significant decline in funding for supply teachers short, with likely impacts on the continuity teaching. E 'was confirmed in € 100.00 for each student's voluntary contribution to be paid at the time of the school. It 'was decided to cover the difference (14%) between the expenses relating to damage caused during the last employment and the amount raised by the students (86% of the total!) From funds made available annually by the Province, as Routine maintenance of your premises. E 'was approved on Student of the Institute's Rules of Procedure, which governs the conduct. Among the main rules: the entrance to the school according to the normal time, the expected appeal in the classroom, the obligation to produce the justification for the absent, the output for all to 12.30 in general.

Finally, on the question of whether it dealt with the issue of educational trips for 2010, the President Perna said that decisions be taken by the College of Teachers and the Council state that nothing is received.

Step 2. on the agenda

outset, the President Belluzzi has presented the "Committee of Parents of Tasso," arguing that considers appropriate development of participation in school life through that body and, therefore, called on parents interested parties to formulate hypotheses plete information on emerging issues - even if not class representatives - in any case propose to offer their contribution of ideas and to make contact, as well as using these tools and distribution lists for each class.

He then called Andrew Malusardi (President of the "Committee") to present to the information given.

Andrea has quickly introduced the topic saying that the "Committee" was formed shortly after the meeting of parents held last December 2, given the significant issues evaluated during the debate took place there, with the aim of developing specific recommendations in a proactive and effective collaboration, apparently in connection with the Assembly itself in anticipation of a final determination.

He then briefly explained how operation of the "Committee" - very lean, through the use of email - and its articulation organizational committees, each with its own coordinator, currently identified as follows:

1 . Laboratories; 2. Orientation toward the job ol 'universities, 3. International exchange of students; 4. Seminars and conferences for students; 5. Occupation 6. Listening to students' needs and expectations; 7. Assign teachers / students to sections or classes, 8. Movement information between parents and continuity of representation 9. Uniform evaluation criteria to the different sections; 10. Dispersion school; 11. Financing; 12. Computerization of the teaching process and educational exchanges with parents 13. School reform.

Soon after, having indicated which of these have been made already of a compilation, called Roberto Ciampicacigli - Coordinator Committee "DIRECTION" to report on its work. His speech can be summarized as follows.

Since the proliferation of supply university has made it more difficult and complex the task orientation of students in high school to the third choice university, in collaboration with the Institute, you are defining a project - " knowing and doing "- which includes:

· the preparation of a dossier in which merging national data on education university (Produced by Istat), the cognitive elements that flow from national and international rankings on Italian universities and faculties, the data on employment outcomes of graduates (the product of the consortium Almalaurea), quantitative and qualitative factors (if available) of the Professional Associations;

· the collection of inputs from parents, describing - through his own experience - the state and prospects of certain professions.

We will try to schedule a series of meetings on the broad, with the participation of academics, representatives of the associations, parents and alumni of the "rate" professionals, to facilitate the selection of outgoing students, even taking into account the changing labor market.

The intention is also to involve the "Amici del Tasso", to extend the initiative to students of the second high school, possibly extending the look to foreign universities.

For more details, spoke in Assembla - at the invitation of the "Committee" and purely personal, prof. Ventura - teacher Institute of Religion and responsible guidance from the same function.

The professor explained the difficulties faced in carrying out this its activities to various reasons such as:

or is not easy to inform and communicate with the kids, who do not use use the school website to talk, do not respond to the survey specially organized (in this case the ^ III);

or the parents are not aware of the initiative (orientation) and, therefore, not intended for the meetings);

or participation in the orientation meetings is rather low in organizing PROBLEMS: 'afternoon, to avoid affecting the school timetable.

However, comparing with the Commission, will continue in an effort to keep these meetings, seeking the most appropriate for the involvement of parents and children, with the participation of ^ II, extending the range-finding both with the access door to "inform young people of the City of Rome (eg, for information. on tuition and university entrance test) and with a statement on " civil service ".

The discussion that followed - very involved - has highlighted the underlying problems, considered in need of further reflection later below.

ü Probably, the behavior of their children denotes the magnitude of the phenomenon to be analyzed: the disorientation;

ü guidance activities designed to optimize access to university should not be contradicted by compromising a final evaluation to the benefit of students from other public institutions;

ü The outcome of the test - perplexing pupils - should be able to suffer from a uniform distribution of teachers;

ü consciously made the choice of the "rate" for proper training should not be able to be counterproductive, as it would if you were to opt for changing the school last year and get a final vote this way higher.

on these issues has emerged an awareness of wanting to raise the sensitivity of the Institute and to verify the availability of a calm appraisal.

The information in question was followed by Valeria Feel, coordinator of the Commission on international trade ", which is expressed as follows.

So far, not all sections have the advantage of cultural opportunities. This, too, because - as reported - was not always possible to capture the availability of foreign language teacher to accompany students. fact that, if repeated, would not provide equal opportunities for all. In this regard, he felt able to announce the intention to replace the head teacher in the future educational trips to cultural exchanges with foreign countries and regardless, in this regard, the availability of foreign language teachers.

And next year, the latter could all participate in the program, after the accession of the Class Council.

The argument was taken Martini Donatella Capone to represent the Council of the Institute is revising the "Rules", including that of school trips, which provides the teachers.

Consequently, the Assembly pointed out the opportunity to verify that the new legislation is consistent with the proposed addition exhaustive.

Later, he spoke Cecilia Mannironi - coordinator Commission's "Labor", which has collaborated with Kathy Martin and Forgelli Professor (Professor of Science at the "rate") to report as specified.

The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a teaching laboratory of molecular biology - which would be shared by the head teacher and teachers - was born from the need to bridge a gap between basic and applied research and schools, from belief that the acquisition of a scientific method should be an essential component in the education of children, following the example of what happens in other developed countries.

Il progetto così come definito prevede:

Ø Acquisto di arredi e grosse apparecchiature di laboratorio, comprese attrezzature per Chimica/Fisica, per una spesa preventivata di €40.000,00;

Ø Acquisto di microscopi e piccole strumentazioni per un importo di € 16.000,00;

Ø Materiale di consumo e kit didattici per una spesa di € 3.000,00 annui.

Per la copertura della spesa si farà riferimento a Fondazioni, Regione ed Enti locali; quant’altri bodies available.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the Assembly that, hoping a speedy implementation, he also recommended to better define issues related assistance and laboratory management.

exposure of the information is continued with the intervention of Andrew Malusardi, as the coordinator of the Commission "occupation."

summed up all that is meeting members of the Institute, in view of preparing an open letter to parents of new members, shared by all, aimed at preventing the recurrence of past negative experiences.

This, in the belief that the financial crisis of the school (see the first called on short supply teachers) already lead to a reduction of teaching, which would be counterproductive to further limit by occupations, self-management or other similar activities in the morning hours.

Soon, the initiative will be presented.

no longer available given time, the meeting closed at 17.30 .

Letto, confermato e sottoscritto.

IL PRESIDENTE IL SEGRETARIO

(Pierfrancesco Belluzzi) (John Argondizza)
